Pastor Mike Ivey

 Mike and Jill Ivey, married in 1980, have two married daughters and three children still at home (Michael, Melanie, and Mitchel).

They have lived in Korea since June 1988, serving as missionaries with the Baptist Bible Fellowship through pastoring, church planting, and teaching.

Mike earned his Ph.D. from the University of South Carolina in 2008 and is a full-time professor at Bible Baptist Theological Seminary in Ichon, South Korea.
Pastor Ivey and his family are currently on furlough in the United States.

Interim Pastor Russ Loomis

Russ and Kathy Loomis are serving at Mission Baptist Church while the Ivey family is on furlough.They have three adult children, two daughters and one son. Russ and Kathy served as missionaries in Zambia for 9 years, where they started two churches. They have been actively involved in ministry most of their lives, coming most recently from Life Church just outside Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Russ is serving as the Interim Pastor, focusing mainly on Preaching and Counseling.

Ministry Staff

Andrew & Kaylin Calamaro

 Andrew and Kalyin Calamaro have been serving in South Korea since 2002. They have 3 daughters (Miriam, Lydia, and Andréa) Andrew and Kaylin are both graduates of Columbia International University in South Carolina.

Andrew serves as the Business Manager for Mission Baptist Church and Mission Baptist Academy. In addition to those responsibilities, Andrew teaches Bible classes, oversees the facilities, and serves on the Pastoral Leadership Council.

Kaylin serves as the Secretary for the church. She helps to lead the Ladies ministry and oversees the Children's ministry.

Brian O'Hara

 Brian and Meredith O'Hara have been serving in South Korea, Meredith since 2008 and Brian since 2009. They met at Mission Baptist. They were married in Janaury 2011.

Brian is the Ministry Director at Mission Baptist Church. He oversees all of the ministries of Mission Baptist Church, as well as church publications and web design. Brian and Meredith work with the Ignite teens each week. Brian is a graduate of Boston Baptist College.

The Pastoral Leadership Council (PLC), (members pictured above with their wives) provides spiritual direction and accountability for Pastor Ivey and the Mission Baptist family.
 

THE PLC serves as the legal board for Mission Baptist Church. These men exemplify the spiritual qualifications for elders and deacons described in
1 Timothy and Titus.
